October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month

The month of October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month. We have a lot planned!

• Saturday, October 2, 2021
  • Our 2nd annual heart screening at Leigh High School.
  • Great Bear Coffee Fundraiser - head to Great Bear Coffee in downtown Los Gatos on Saturday, Oct 2nd. They are donating a % of their proceeds to us. Get out and support this local small business!
• Saturday, October 16, 2021
  • Virtual 5k - Race to End Sudden Cardiac Arrest! Just get out on the 16th to walk, run, jog, bike, golf, or whatever you do, post a picture online and tag us! Help us get the word out about SCA in youth!
• Wednesday, October 20, 2021
  • Learn a life skill that can save a life.  Attend our Adult CPR/AED class @ San Jose Clubhouse.  click here for more details and to sign up!!
• Saturday, October 30, 2021
  • We will be at Great Bear Coffee for a pop-up event!  Come visit us, win some KJTF swag and learn more about SCA in youth!

Race to End Sudden Cardiac Arrest October 24, 2020

On October 24, 2020 we teamed up with foundations across the country to host the 1st Annual Race to End Sudden Cardiac Arrest which was a virtual 5k/mile walk/run.  We had over 1500 participants  from all over the country support our cause. Thank you to our KJTF supporters that participated in the race this year.

Stanford Men's Soccer and tailgating event ​10/26/18

What a fantastic soccer tailgate and pre-game events that was put together for our foundation by Stanford. Cardiologists and staff from Stanford Medicine participated at the tailgate. They all visited with many guests at the tailgate and spoke about SCA and the awareness that is needed. Stanford’s Head Soccer Coach, Jeremy Gunn, visited with the family and guests as well.  We received a wonderful gift, Coach Gunn presented a signed soccer ball to  the foundation. The pre-game activities for kids (aged 5-12) was very well attended by community soccer teams.  The Stanford Men’s soccer trainers led the activities for the kids. Everyone who attended the soccer tailgate left with a Uniquely Stanford experience and awareness of SCA.

Thank you to all that attended and we look forward to more events with Stanford in the future.
